Welcome parents! Whether you are looking for reading material for your children or encouragement in your parenting journey, you’ve come to the right place. My name is Sheri Bielma. I am a busy mom of 4 elementary aged children who enjoys crafting stories for children as well as encouraging other parents as we walk this journey together.
The past several years I have had the privilege of homeschooling my children while living in a rural area of San Diego that has leant itself to such great discoveries. We have learned so much about local wildlife, plants, and weather. We raise chickens, plant a garden, and are even training a dog. All of these experiences influence the topics I enjoy writing about for children.
As my children and I have enjoyed these experiences together, I have become increasingly more aware of the countless opportunities we are given to parent in moments. As parents, we purposely prepare for big events and milestones in our children’s lives. We read up to be able to seek the best medical care, nutrition, schooling, social opportunities, extracurricular activities, etc. Though I am the first to admit, I am not as intentional in the day to day. And when does most of life happen? Small moments add up over the course of a childhood. And so, as I write for my fellow parents, I hope to be an encouragement to recognize and embrace the countless moments to be of influence in our children’s lives.
